Desktop application testing

We test your application on the systems, versions and resolutions where it really lives: Windows and macOS, different setups and screens. Working on your machine isn't enough; working on your users' machines is.

01 / The service

What is desktop application testing?

Desktop application testing checks that your installable software (on Windows or macOS) works correctly across the range of machines, operating-system versions and resolutions your customers use. It's not enough that it starts on your machine: it has to install, update and behave just as well in every environment.

We verify installation, behavior, display scaling, system permissions and performance across a real matrix of configurations. We reproduce the combinations where bugs usually hide (that Windows version, that 4K resolution, that machine with less memory) before your user finds them.

02 / Why it matters

Why the same installer doesn't behave the same everywhere

The desktop is fragmented ground: operating-system versions, resolutions, DPI scaling, permissions and different hardware on every machine. An app that runs smoothly on your laptop can fail to install on Windows 10, look broken at 4K or crash on an Apple Silicon Mac. Testing that matrix before you ship separates a clean launch from an avalanche of tickets.

What you gain by testing in every environment

Before

Without compatibility testing

Bugs that only show up on the customer's machine
The installer breaks on certain versions
Misaligned UI at 4K or with DPI scaling
Support overwhelmed after every launch

What you gain with the matrix covered

Works on your users' machines

We test Windows and macOS on your audience's real versions and resolutions, not just on ours.

Install and update with no surprises

We validate installing, updating and uninstalling in every environment so no one gets stuck halfway.

Correct UI on any screen

We check DPI scaling, multi-monitor and resolutions from 1080p to 4K with no broken or clipped elements.

Fewer tickets, calm launches

We catch per-environment bugs before you ship, so your support team doesn't become the QA team.

We agree which systems, versions, resolutions and setups represent your real users.

02

Setting up machines and virtual machines

queued

We build real and virtualized Windows and macOS environments with every target version and resolution.

03

Install, update and uninstall

queued

We test the full installer cycle in every environment: clean install, update from previous versions and uninstall with no leftovers.

04

Functional and visual tests per environment

queued

We run the critical flows and verify scaling, multi-monitor, permissions and performance in each combination.
